By order dated December 12, 2005, granting Leslie Berman's motion for General and Specific Courthouse Relief, filed in the case U.S. v. Sutton, 05-20044, US District Judge Patricia Minaldi agreed that attorneys may bring their cellphones, palm pilots, and laptops into the federal courthouse in Lake Charles, Louisiana, without filing motions for special exceptions, each time they wish to do so.
